Future St. Stephen focuses on actively facilitating the revitalization and growth of St. Stephen.

Future St. Stephen serves as the economic development agency for the Municipality of St. Stephen. Our board is made up of business and community leaders and we work with the town`s administration and community partners to help ensure that St. Stephen has a thriving economy. Our work involves identifying the unique opportunities our community has and acting as a facilitator to make them a reality.

Future St. Stephen's Priority Areas

Housing

Facilitate housing development to meet community needs. We are currently working with several developers to create new housing in the town.

Population Retention

Attract and retain a diverse population.

Strengthening Our Business Park

Attract new industries and develop necessary infrastructure.

Commercial and Small Business Growth

Invite existing businesses to expand, and new busiensses to relocate here. Foster an entrepreneurial environment in which businesses feel supported.

Tourism Infrastructure

Initiate a tourism strategy for the town and encourage the growth of the tourism industry.

Originally from St. Stephen, David comes with an entrepreneurial and economic background across the academic and for-profit sectors in Canada and the U.S. He is a graduate of the University of New Brunswick and Mount Allison University, and additionally holds two graduate degrees in Educational Administration.
